Do I need a visa to travel to Bhutan?
Yes, all international tourists (except nationals from India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives) require a visa to enter Bhutan.
Your visa will be arranged through your licensed Bhutanese tour operator — like Zhingkham Excursions — as part of your travel package. Once approved, you'll receive a visa clearance letter, and the actual visa will be stamped upon arrival.

The SDF is a government-levied fee aimed at supporting Bhutan’s unique model of sustainable development.
As of now, the fee is USD $100 per person, per night for international tourists.
This fee goes toward environmental protection, free healthcare and education, infrastructure, and cultural preservation.
Regional tourists (from India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives) have different SDF rates and policies.
